Cardiac First Responder Course

The course which is being taught by two fully certified paramedics who are employed by the HSE, includes the administration of Aspirin for chest pain, recognition of stroke, as well as CPR and Defibrillation. This course is valid for 2 years. It is recommended that trainees have at least one revalidation session, but should have more, where possible, regular retention training.

5. Understanding the 'Chain of Survival'

6. Recognition & treatment of a heart attack and the administration of Aspirin

7. Recognition & treatment of a Stroke
