#Paddle4Parkinsons

To shine a light on the importance of exercise, community, and seizing the moment, Frank is embarking on a remarkable 300KM journey down the Shannon River. From June 28th, 2024, Frank will paddle his way through the heart of Ireland, covering approximately 30KM each day over 10 days, all in support of Parkinson’s Ireland.
Frank’s initiative, aptly named #Paddle4Parkinsons, is not just a personal challenge; it’s aims to raise awareness and funds to support the 15,000 individuals living with Parkinson’s in Ireland. With unwavering determination, Frank aspires to raise €10,000 for Parkinson’s Ireland, helping to provide vital support for its services, including a nurse helpline, clinics and virtual classes.

We joined Frank on his journey in sea kayaks on the 3rd of July from Banagher to Portumna Bridge, a distance of approximately 27 km in near-gale force head winds.
